Thanks to a generous grant from the MEF, the high school lobby is getting a new art installation! The old phone booths in the lobby are currently being painted in the style of famed artist Keith Haring! Once complete, we will be adding some 3D elements to finish this work of art and liven up the lobby! Stay tuned to see the finished project....

Each year, The Madison Chamber of Commerce asks MHS Art students to paint some of the shops in downtown Madison for the holiday season. As usual, our student artists were excited and met with their "clients" to discuss ideas and share sketches for the window design. Students then braved the weather to go out and get the windows painted in time for the holidays!
Mrs. Gentile asked the MHS Art Club to help her beautify her old cabinets. A team of art club painters worked hard to brainstorm a sketch, get feedback from Mrs. Gentile and then turn her cabinets into a beautiful, bright flower mural.

Honors Advanced Art Studio students used white charcoal on black paper to draw these spooky skeletons from the model in our classroom. Students focused on creating value on black paper and creating an interesting composition.
Students in Honors Advanced Art Studio created these still life paintings using left over Halloween candy! We focused on composition and creating three dimensionality with the acrylic paint. We even had some sweet treats while we worked!
